SHALOM WEEK AT OCEAN GROVE
June 19-25, 2011
Theology and Practice of Shalom (3 CEU's)
This 7-day intensive course may be taken in one of two tracks: 1) for CEU's as an introduction to ShalomZone Training; or 2) for certification as approved regional
Shalom Trainers. Morning sessions are focused on the theology and practice of Shalom/Salaam/Peace. In the afternoon sessions, participants will either 1) learn
more about asset-based community development and practice specific skill sets and strategies for Shalom ministry; or 2) share and compare best training practices
and process together new methods and tools to train others working in Shalom sites (exclusively for regional trainers seeking certification).

Seminar: "The Life of the Farmer"
Fee: $125 (plus online ticket charge $1.50)
Registration fee includes continental breakfast.
The Bible is rife with agricultural imagery, and Jesus' parables often made reference to farming practices of his day. Come to understand the deeper theological meanings attached to these images as you learn of the difficulties of farming in biblical times (drought, plague, pestilence, warfare!) and of the practices related to the life of the farmer.
