MISSIONS 101
Due to an overwhelming response, registration for both Missions 101 events is now full.
Exists to collaborate with local churches to provide an opportunity for youth & their leaders to serve Christ by worshipping Him, growing spiritually and serving others
What is Missions 101?
~ A four-day community service "Experience", where youth and adults alike will grow
spiritually by reaching out in the service of Christ to area home owners, churches and
community service agencies.
~ Participants, ages 12-18 (junior and senior high) will have opportunities to worship
and explore God's Word together in the beautiful ocean community of Ocean Grove.
Location: Ocean Grove, New Jersey
Participants:
~ Maximum of 20 youths per group
~ Youth: ages 12-18 (junior & senior high)
~ Adults: 1 adult leader for every 5 youth
~ at least one leader of each gender represented by youth in participating group
Lodging:
~ Grove Hall Retreat Center (Missions 101 Headquarters)
~ Area Hotels
Dates:
~ June 27th - June 30th
~ July 18th - July 21st
Registration Fee: (includes continental breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks)
~ $210 per particpant
~ $50 deposit per spot reserved
~ Deposits are transferable, not refundable
What to expect:
~ Participants will work in small groups of 5-7 youth under the supervision of adult leaders
~ Participants will be assigned to different service projects and community service in the area
~ Participants will have the opportunity to fellowship, share experiences and worship
corporately with others
~ Participants will receive full support both spiritually and physically from a well-trained
M101 staff
~ Great food and lodging!
~ Free time at the beach!

Who can participate?
~ Junior and Senior High Youth - minimum age 12 years
~ Adults - youth leaders and working chaperones; (every group is to bring a minimum of
one adult for every five youth, at least one adult of each gender represented by youth
in participating group
What is the role of the adults/chaperones?
~ Adults will supervise youth; participate in projects by providing leadership, safety, and
spiritual guidance.
~ One adult for every five youth is reuired
What do the service projects involve?
~ Jobs may vary between home repairs, paint, yard work
~ Visiting the elderly
~Community service
How are teams organized?
~ Small groups are established within a given youth group
~ Multiple teams may be paired from different youth groups to work on one project
~ Youth will always be with a leader from their youth group
~ Teams from one youth group may be assigned to projects in different locations
What about transportation?
~ Each group must provide their own transportation to and from assigned M101
Experientce project
~ If/when groups are split and additional transportation is needed, M101 Program will
do its best to provide transportation
~ Some projects will be within walking distance of the M101 Headquarters
What is a typical "M101 Experience" like?
Sunday
~ Groups arrive in OG late afternoon/early evening
~ Orientation for leaders (hand out projects, etc.)
~ Orientation for all youth and leaders
~ Fellowhsip with other groups
Monday
~ Breakfast
~ Morning "M101 Experience" devotions
~ Work projects - Bag lunch provided
~ Dinner
~ Evening "M101 Experience" Event
~ Group devotions
Tuesday
~ Breakfast
~ Morning "M101 Experience" devotions
~ Work project
~ Lunch at M101 Headquarters
~ Afternoon of free time- Beach access and organized games
~ Dinner

Wednesday
