The mission of the Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association, rooted in its Methodist heritage, is to provide opportunities for spiritual birth, growth, and renewal through worship, education, cultural and recreational activities in a Christian seaside setting.
We are NOW HIRING for seasonal positions! Our most urgent needs are for beach bathroom cleaners and auditorium/facilities workers. Please help us pass the word. Applications are available at the office or can be downloaded from our webpage (www.oceangrove.org; welcome; employment opportunities).
We have also restructured the Program Department and are looking for two people, Program Director and a Program Assistant/Marketing. If you are interested go to the website and download the Job Description under Employment Opportunities. Resumes need to be submitted by May 22nd.

HOW TO VOLUNTEER!
Would you like to donate your time and skills to our ministry? There are many ways to be involved through the Camp Meeting. Read below and see how you can volunteer your time this summer.
Do you like to sing and worship the Lord? The Auditorium Choir is always looking for more voices. The Auditorium Choir sings at Sunday morning services all summer. They rehearse twice a week on Tuesday and Friday nights at 7:30pm. No audition or membership fees are required and we welcome singers of all ages and abilities. Singers are welcomed to sing as their schedules permit and need not commit to singing every week. Do you like to enjoy the beauty of God's creation? Are you interested in beautifying, preserving and restoring the many garden sites around town? Our organization is a year round organization with volunteers that are dedicated and loyal workers who beautify Ocean Grove and help keep it a very special town. We meet every Thursday at 8 a.m. at a designated work site that is either posted or emailed to our volunteers. Other work days and times are available for special projects and watering. Our general meeting is the first Thursday of every month at the OGCMA Community room. The Ladies Auxiliary of Ocean Grove donates proceeds from each of our events to the Town of Ocean Grove each year. Our Membership votes each year on funding for programs and projects to benefit our Beloved Ocean Grove.
Yearly Membership is open to all Women and Girls who wish to foster and serve the unique and beautiful Community of Ocean Grove, NJ.
Throughout the summer at various events we sell water, hot dogs and a variety of other foods to make sure everyone’s body is filled as they enjoy family entertainment and the beauty of this community. We are always looking for help, especially those who have strong back and can lift and carry. If you are interested in being part of this ministry contact .
The Ocean Grove Summer Band has performed for the enjoyment of the community for 63 years. Musicians, age 14 and over, who possess great sight reading skills and would like to perform with the Summer Band are welcome to join us. Contact to inquire about participating.
There have been ushers in the Great Auditorium since its first service on July 1, 1894. Currently there are 172 men ages 16 to 90+ who serve or carry an interest in the duties of the ushers. A long-standing tradition is the “Ushers March” still performed most Sundays by 60 to 80 men. Ushering is not limited to collecting on Sunday mornings! We are there to ensure the safety and comfort of everyone at all of the events in the Great Auditorium which include Sunday evening, Organ Concerts on Wednesday and Saturday, Summer Stars Classical music on Thursdays, and all of the family friendly programs on Saturday evenings. This includes events in the Great Auditorium, Bishop Janes Tabernacle, the Youth Temple and the Boardwalk Pavilion.
We pride ourselves on offering a handshake and a smile to new and very familiar faces as we see them at the doors. Once inside we make sure that all are comfortable and as safe as possible, we also act as ambassadors for the Camp Meeting answering the many questions people ask. Several of our members are EMTs and each section leader carries a radio so we can quickly and efficiently get information to emergency personnel when needed.
Applications for being an usher are handled by the President(email@example.com), the form asks for three references and a church affiliation. There is a short interview where we discuss all of the places where we could use some active participation and a requirement to pass a criminal background check. The applicant is reimbursed for the costs. We are all volunteers and no one is expected to make every event. We ask regular ushers to serve at a minimum of 12 events, however if you are only available part of the season, we can still gratefully accept your help especially in June and September.
The Shuffleboard Club will have FREE play for all on Saturday, May 27th and Sunday, May 28th from 12-4pm. Stop by to renew your membership or join for the first time. We will be ready to take your membership and teach you to play. Family $40 Couple $35 Single $20.
