MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR
Job Summary
The Maintenance Supervisor plays a crucial role in supporting the Director of Operations at the Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association
(OGCMA). This position is responsible for managing the physical infrastructure of the facility, ensuring that operational processes run
efficiently across various properties and programs, and developing a skilled and effective maintenance staff. This is a full time, year-
round, salaried position, $49,000 to $59,000 with excellent health benefits and vacation. Employment at OCGMA requires a background
check, fingerprinting and completion of the abuse training program, as well as completion of application forms.
Responsibilities
Facility Management:
▪ Oversee and perform maintenance and repairs on facility infrastructure.
▪ Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
▪ Explore new technologies and methods to enhance efficiency within the department.
▪ Align departmental goals with the approved budget and ensure they are met effectively.
Inventory Procurement & Maintenance:
▪ Manage inventory levels and procure necessary supplies.
▪ Coordinate the acquisition of materials required for operational tasks.
▪ Ensure all equipment is properly maintained; report any repair or replacement needs to the Director of Operations.
Staff Supervision, Management & Development:
▪ Supervise and support maintenance staff and operational teams.
▪ Ensure that maintenance personnel complete work requests promptly and accurately while adhering to safety guidelines.
▪ Facilitate communication between the Operations Department and maintenance staff regarding scheduling and tasks.
▪ Monitor and track the performance of maintenance personnel.
▪ Identify areas for operational improvement and implement necessary changes.
▪ Discuss current or potential work issues with the Director of Operations and propose solutions.
▪ Ensure all maintenance activities are conducted safely and according to accepted standards.
▪ Develop and maintain a schedule for maintenance personnel.
▪ Conduct regular training sessions for maintenance staff to ensure they understand their job duties and responsibilities.
▪ Lead, facilitate and assist with erection of tents, ensuring the prompt completion of inspections (Neptune Township) set-up.
Operational Efficiency & Planning:
▪ Ensure work assignments are completed in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner.
▪ Maintain cost-effectiveness in all operations.
▪ Respond to emergencies such as alarm activations or facility-related incidents as required.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Operations:
▪ Work closely with the Director of Operations and other team members to achieve operational objectives.
▪ Fulfill various duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.
▪ Engage with attendees and facility users to meet their expectations and needs.
▪ Assist in the hiring process for maintenance department staff, ensuring proper screening and interviewing.
▪ Help organize and facilitate special events within OGCMA facilities.
▪ Contribute to budgeting for the maintenance department to support necessary tasks and prepare recommendations for the
annual budget for the Operations Committee.
Qualifications:
▪ Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management, municipal work, or a department of public works in a supervisory
role (required).
▪ Understanding of building systems, maintenance procedures, and safety regulations (required).
▪ Strong knowledge of facility maintenance, safety protocols, and compliance (required).
▪ Experience working with vendors and contractors while ensuring regulatory compliance (required).
▪ Excellent organizational, supervisory, and communication skills (required).
▪ Ability to work collaboratively and foster a positive team environment (required).
▪ Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities (required).
▪ A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
▪ Ability to lift a minimum of 25lbs
