ECHOES OF ETERNITY
Annual Sacred Masterworks Concert
Sunday, August 23, 2026, 7PM
in the Great Auditorium
Mozart’s Requiem and
Gjeilo’s Sunrise Mass
“Echoes of Eternity: Mozart’s Requiem and Gjeilo’s Sunrise Mass” unites two masterworks that contemplate life, light, and the mysteries beyond. The Great Auditorium Choir and Solo Quartet join Maestro Jason Tramm and the MidAtlantic Philharmonic Orchestra for an evening of profound beauty and spiritual reflection, with Dr. Gordon Turk at the organ.
Mozart’s Requiem — his final, transcendent composition — speaks with timeless urgency, conveying grief, longing, and the hope of eternal rest. Paired with Ola Gjeilo’s luminous Sunrise Mass, a soaring meditation that emerges from darkness into radiance, the program invites audiences on a musical journey from soul-deep searching to celestial light.
Enhancing the experience, atmospheric visual projections will transform the Great Auditorium’s vast arches and wooden expanse, immersing listeners in a breathtaking union of sound and imagery as voices and orchestra resonate with the eternal.
Freewill offerings make these phenomenal programs possible.
Your generosity and support is greatly appreciated.
